With Thanksgiving approaching, I want to take a moment to thank you all for your support and for entrusting your kids to me during the school day. You all have amazing kids and I am so blessed by them every single day. We are all learning, working, and growing together.
This week in writing we took to writing our own opinions after a week of reading opinion books and writing an opinion as a class. So far the kids are doing a great job. The kids are coming up with some great ideas to write about and are working at giving their reasons for their opinion. They are also trying their hand at giving a solution to help their case/opinion as well as wrapping up their opinion letters. You may see some of these letters come home in the next week or so.
The reading conversations in the room this week centered around the characters in our books. We were "spying" on our characters and noticing what our characters were doing, saying, and feeling. We also used this information to make predictions about what would happen next in the book.
On Tuesday we will be taking our Unit 3 math test. The homework that went home this weekend is a good example of what will be on the test. Please look that homework over and check their work. They can redo it if you notice they had a problem wrong. We will spend Monday reviewing for the test.
Have a great Thanksgiving with your families!
