Hello!
I hope you are all staying warm during this crazy weather! I am looking forward to some warm weather and sunshine, hopefully soon.
I am excited to share with you that we have a new student who joined our classroom today! The kids have welcomed Trinidy into our school family with open arms and I couldn't be more proud of how they have helped her out and shown her such kindness.
Parent club would like to let you know that they have extended the due date for our C sign fundraiser. The deadline for this sign painting party is now this Friday. Here is the link to sign up: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lY65oe7lWZdUrV3Io9Rk-Vny9Mfu8GmwHKcWrWaf8s0/edit?ts=5ad6129e
This Friday, please look for information coming home concerning our field trip.
Last week Friday we had a fun day working together to pick up our schools playgrounds. Here are a few pictures showing us picking up pinecones :)
In math we are working on telling time to the hour and the half hour. The kids are doing well, but it would be great if you could keep practicing with your child at home using analog clocks. The tricky part for kids is knowing where to put the hour hand on the half hours. Next we will be moving into shapes and how we can use shapes to make other shapes.
In science we are talking about weather, including severe weather and how the sun is important to us. We will be doing a plant experiment to see if they really need sun and water.
Have a great week!
