I hope that you had a great Memorial Day weekend! We were able to get up to Harbor Springs to visit with family, some of whom we haven't seen since last year. The girls got to reconnect with a cousin and it was fun to watch them play and have a good time!
I can't believe that we are down to two weeks left of school. This is always a bittersweet time for me as I begin to wind things down in our classroom. I would be lying if I said I wouldn't miss this great group of kids. We are a family here at school and we have created a great bond. It has been such a joy to watch the kids interact and make great friendships with each other :)
Over the next two weeks I will be wrapping up our curriculum and reteaching anything I feel we could use some extra practice with. We will also be doing some fun activities in the classroom too.
Don't forget to look at the kids' slideshow they are creating. You will find it under the "student project" tab (If You Had Animal). It is still a work in progress, but nearing it's finish.
I have begun to put on the blog some activities and resources for you to look into and do with your child over the summer. You will find them under the "Resources" tab. If you have any other ideas I could share with parents, just let me know and I will post it on the blog.
The last day of school will be on Friday, June 10 with a dismissal at 1pm.
I will stay in touch with you over the next couple of weeks with anything that comes up.
